Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of science and cultural history of food and drink in two adventurous tours.
The "Body Journey" invites you on an exciting knowledge tour through the human body and follows the path of food, whereby you are guided down an organic-looking tunnel system.
If you want to learn about eating behavior in the Palaeolithic Age or ancient Rome, "Time Travel" is the right place for you. In this section, European eating and drinking culture in different eras such as the Baroque is brought to life.
Hands-On stations invite you to join and reflect. Archaeological finds from all over the world and Braunschweig as well as anatomical models round off the experience.
Discover interactive stations: Visitors playfully test their senses in the exhibition – from sight to smell.

Whether a short ride or a day trip: This cycling map invites you to discover Braunschweig and the surrounding region in a delightful and sustainable way. The route leads you to selected cafés, farm shops, and other places where sustainability, regionality, and unique culinary experiences play a central role. Along the way, you'll also find suitable activities and beautiful spots that encourage you to pause and actively explore the region.
A particularly appealing feature: The route follows the city's designated “Quiet Areas” – areas with low noise levels and high recreational value, primarily located along parks and open spaces. This way, the tour combines enjoyable stops with relaxing routes through green and tranquil urban areas.
