The Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum does not have its own parking spots. There are however several parking spots with meters in the vicinity as well as the following parking garages:
Parkhaus Magni
Mon–Sat from 7am to 1pm
Parkhaus Wilhelmstraße
daily from 6am to 11:30pm
Parkhaus Schloss-Arkaden
Mon–Sat from 7am to 9:30pm
Sun fon 11am to 6pm
The nearest bus station is "Museumstraße" on the lines 412, 413, 418 und 493 or the station "Staatstheater" on the lines 230, 411, 413, 416, 418, 422, 443 and 730.
The nearest tram station "Museumstraße" can be reached by lines 4 and 5 or the station "Rathaus" on the lines 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10.
Admission is free for children under the age of 6, caregivers accompanying visitors with a disability, members of our booster club, as well as members of the following organizations:
Reduced fares are applicable for school and university students, apprentices, the unemplyed, federal volunteers (Bundesfreiwilligendienstleistende) as well as holders of a severely handicapped pass (50%). Groups of 10 or more people also pay the reduced admission (with or without guided tours).
In addition, holders of the following passes are applicable for reduced admission:

Family pass II (2 adults + up to 3 children): 18,00 €

The Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum has step-free wheelchair access. All exhibition rooms in Museumstraße 1 can be reached via a lift.
The exhibition rooms in the listed Burg Dankwarderode are not step-free.
Service dogs are permitted (on presentation of an ID card at the reception desk in the entrance hall).
Eating and drinking is not allowed in the exhibition rooms, the stairwell, the foyer and the museum shop. The Museumsbistro Anton’s offers a wide range of food and drinks.
Taking photographs without flash, tripod or selfie-stick in the rooms of the permanent collections at the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum and Burg Dankwarderode is generally permitted.
For conservational reasons it is essential that you adhere to the following rules:
For security reasons, it is prohibited to take jackets and bags into the exhibition rooms of the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum. If you need to carry important medication or similar items with you, you will be given a paper bag at the reception desk. Lockers are located on the lower floor of the museum, please have a €2 coin ready. Umbrella stands are also available for use.
