The collections of the Natural History Museum

The collections of the museum have their origin in the “Kunst- und Naturalienkabinett” of Duke Carl I of Brunswick and look back on nearly 300 years of collecting tradition.

From meteorites to seashells, the objects of the collections are handled and supervised by our five scientists for vertebrates, invertebrates, paleontology, and mineralogy.
