Hardly anything affects our mood as much as the weather, especially since we can hardly influence it. But what was it like in geological times? Was there weather and are there actually fossilised witnesses to it? There are! Rocks probably represent the largest and most diverse weather archive of all. Rain, frost, heat, storms, hail, snow, floods, droughts and even thunderstorms have left fossilised traces. The bilingual special exhibition (German/English), in cooperation with the Urweltmuseum GEOSKOP and the Naturhistorisches Museum Schloss Bertholdsburg in Schleusingen and the Stiftung Schloss Friedenstein Gotha, focuses on the weather of yesterday, today and tomorrow and invites you to participate and try things out at interactive stations.
