The Staatliche Naturhistorische Museum does not have its own parking spots. There are however several parkings spots free of charge in the vicinity.
Public parking spots can be found at Pockelsstraße, Konstantin-Uhde-Straße as well as the surrounding area. There are also two spots for electric cars with charging stations and several parking spots for the disabled.
The nearest bus station is "Pockelsstraße" on the lines 419, 426, 429 and 433.
The nearest tram station "Mühlenpfordtstraße" can be reached by lines 1 and 2.
Admission is free for children under the age of 6, all study groups (school or kindergarten classes, for every 5 children a supervisor is also free of charge), caregivers accompanying visitors with a disability, members of our booster club, as well as members of ICOM, Deutscher Museumsbund, the Museumsverband Niedersachsen und Bremen e.V. and holders of the MuseumsCard Braunschweig (1st visit).
Reduced fares are applicable to school and university students, apprentices, the unemployed, federal volunteers (Bundesfreiwilligendienstleistende) as well as holders of a severely handicapped pass. Groups of 10 or more people also pay the reduced admission (with or without guided tours).

The Staatliche Naturhistorisches Museum is accessible. The entry way to the exhibitions halls at Pockelsstrasse 10 is step-free and the door can be opened by a button. All floors are accessible by elevator.
Service dogs are permitted (on presentation of an ID card at the reception desk in the entrance hall).
Unless otherwise signposted, eating and drinking is not permitted in the exhibition rooms. However, you may use uur small reading café (1st floor) and the picnic room on the ground floor. The consumption of hot food is not permitted in these areas in order to avoid unpleasant odours.
Taking photographs without flash, tripod or selfie-stick in the exhibtions of the Naturhistorisches Museum is generally permitted.
For security reasons, visitors are not allowed to take umbrellas and bags into the exhibition rooms.
Please leave your coats and bags in the lockers on the ground floor and in the basement where we also provide stands for your umbrellas. Due to the limited space in the entrance area, we would like to ask you to leave larger handcarts and bicycle trailers at the bicycle racks in front of the museum. Due to space constraints, it is not possible to take them with you.
